Tommy Howell - CSCS - CPU Certified Coach
Hello! I am the Head Strength and Conditiong Coach and Founder of Magma Strength Systems. My interest in strength and conditioning started in my late teens while training for Junior hockey. The inevitable switch occured after I completed my Criminal Justice degree and I knew that health and fitness were much more than a hobby to me, it was a lifestyle. Now, in the later stages of my Athletic Therapy degree training as a CSCS I focus on providing my clients with a safe, well managed environment with an emphasis on developing a healthy long-term relationship in the pursuit of strength, conditioning, and mobility.
Donald Marcelo - Canfitpro Certified Coach
Donald is a registered physiotherapist in the Philippines and has been a personal trainer since 2006. As a Personal Trainer, Donald performs a thorough assessment of each client to design a tailored program based on their health and fitness goals. Donald is a canfitpro certified Personal Training Specialist, a qualified TRX suspension trainer, Darby training system level 1, fascial mobility practitioner, and a certified Precision Nutrition coach. Through his background in sports injury rehabilitation, various certifications, and over 10 years of experience in Personal training, he is knowledgeable in different types of training from weight loss, strength, and hypertrophy.
Hao-yi sim, RD, B.Sc. HNSc. - Team Dietitian
Hao-Yi is a Registered Dietitian, specializing in nutrition for improving both physical and mental performance, not only in sport, but across all aspects of health & wellness. Registered Dietitians are the only recognized, regulated nutrition professionals in the province. For those with insurance, your visit may be covered. Hao-Yi has several years of experience with health, fitness, and high performance sport nutrition, working out of locations including the Canadian Sport Center, Sport Manitoba, University of Manitoba, and Movement Fitness & Performance. He works with competitive athletes, fitness lovers, and people looking to incorporate healthy nutrition habits into their lifestyle. He specializes particularly in improving performance in weight class based sports and combat sports. Services include, but are not limited to: nutrition assessments, consultations, meal plans, recipes, group education, weight class management, and competition day nutrition support. Hao-Yi focuses on providing person-centered nutrition care for health, wellness, and peak performance. He is available on Wednesdays (5-8pm) and Saturdays (10:30am-1pm) primarily for consultations – other times available on request.
